Forward's Mission

Forward's mission is to increase quality of life in Philadelphia by activating uninhabited space.  

We believe that greater population density, brought about by real estate development, increases quality of life by increasing the amount of serendipitous interaction between neighbors, friends, and strangers. 

We believe that serendipitous interactions lead to idea-exchange, relationship formation, and partnerships; these fortuitous collisions make city-life fun and, more importantly, catalyze innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth that we need to sustain a growing economy.

We believe the smallest thing Forward LLC can do to make the biggest impact in Philadelphia is to find the owners of vacant, often abandoned property and figure out some way to activate the property, in spite of title issues and estate complexities. And that is why the team at Forward spends every day engaging with owners of uninhabited property, working to purchase and develop those properties.
